At the 1880’s Ranch we’re not here to lead ponies around in a circle. With that much Montana back country to explore, our goal is to create a unique experience for riders who know the difference between a forelock and a fetlock.
(Don’t worry, there’s no entrance exam)
As you can see on the trail map below, the ranch sits in Levengood Gulch at the base of Stucky Ridge. Following trails leading up and over Stucky Ridge you can connect with Lost Creek Trail, leading you far back into the surrounding mountains to high country lakes and nearby peaks!

We break groups down into their different abilities, but this ranch is geared to the experienced rider. Our expert staff includes a nationally ranked amateur jumper rider, so we know and will have quality horses for you to enjoy.

The 1880’s Ranch is bordered by U.S Forest Service land, and the Flint Creek Range with thousands of acres of Montana backcountry available for your riding adventure.
Exploring the trails leading up Lost Creek, just over Stucky Ridge, you will find yourself right in the heart of the awesome peaks pictured to the left.
